Fire is the first storyteller

Saltfire was born in the heart of Bahrain, a restaurant that doesn’t just cook with fire, but worships it. Redbeerd partnered with the founders to name the concept, build the brand from the embers up, and create a visual and verbal language worthy of 420 million years of flame.

The offering is elemental: open-fire cooking rooted in Middle Eastern tradition, where teriyaki rib-eye meets fire-roasted crayfish and charred meringue. Saltfire serves everyone who has ever sat around a flame and felt something shift; hunger, connection, story. Primal. Magnetic. Unforgettable.

Four elements. One obsession.

Redbeerd has supported Saltfire’s mission of reconnecting people to the source in a number of ways: naming workshops, logo design, visual and verbal identity development, full branding systems, menu design, creative collaboration with Tristan du Plessis Interior Design Studio, website design and development, and ongoing social media management.

To truly capture Saltfire’s essence, we have stared into flames for longer than is strictly professional. We have studied fire’s timeline, from 420 million years ago to tonight’s service. We have worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Tristan du Plessis to ensure the interior design breathes the same heat as the brand. We have written menus that read like poetry and taste like transformation. And we have learned that fire does not ask for permission, it simply burns, creates, and connects.

A timeline worth tending

Fire has been part of Earth’s story for 420 million years. Saltfire is just getting started. Our work together reflects the restaurant’s vision and grounding core: open-fire cooking that celebrates Middle Eastern boldness, protects the ritual of shared meals, supports the craft of live-fire chefs, and allows every guest, whether from Bahrain or beyond, to gather around the flame and remember what it feels like to be warm, fed, and known.
