Have you heard of Nikkei, the Japanese-Peruvian culinary sensation? Neither had we. Inspired by 19th century Japanese immigrants to Peru, this fusion food combines Japanese elegance and Peruvian vibrancy. Clay, a restaurant in Bahrain, explores and celebrates Nikkei. Redbeerd has developed a brand inspired by the intermingling of two rich and diverse cultures.


‘A’ becomes Clay’s logomark, representative of a traditional Inca doorway and Japanese architecture.





The delicate yet intrepid brand plays well with a texture-rich interior, inspired by the combination of two deeply aesthetic cultures. The interior is once again designed by our friends at Studio A.
